こんにちは。京都の大学に通う三回生の鎌川理帆と中西なつみと申します。もともと人と話したり、その人のことを知ったりすることが好きなので、世界中の人と話してみたい！という思いから留学を決意しました。留学先のアメリカでは考え方や背景を理解して尊重しながらも、自分自身の価値観や考え方と向き合い時々調整をしながら新しい環境に適応しようとすることが大切だと分かると同時に、日本との違いのギャップに驚いたこともたくさんありました。その中のひとつが貧困問題です。少しでも解決に貢献したいと思いました。期間が短い中でのクラウドファンディングにはなりますが、思いついたことを行動に移したことに後悔はしていません！クリスマスに一人でも多くの子どもたちに笑顔を届けるためにどうか、みなさんご協力をよろしくお願いいたします。

 

Hello. We are Riho Kamakawa and Natsumi Nakanishi, third-year students at a university in Kyoto, Japan. We like talking to people from all over the world! That is why we decided to study abroad. In the US where we studied abroad, we learned that it is important to try to adapt to a new environment while understanding and respecting their ideas and backgrounds. Then at the same time we establish our own values and way of thinking. There are so many problems in the world, and one of them is the issue of poverty. We wanted to contribute to solving the problem, even if only a little. Although the duration of this campaign is short, we have no regrets about taking action on an idea that came to us! Please help us to bring smiles to as many children's faces as possible at Christmas. 

 

 

                                

 

 

 

私は、留学をきっかけに世界に目を向け始めました。そして、海外には想像を超える貧富の差があることを知りました。自分達の恵まれた環境を改めて認識するにつれ、海外の恵まれない子ども達の役に立ちたいと心から思うようになりました。 アメリカや日本は先進国で、貧しい人に関する問題は国の制度でなんとかすべき問題ではありますが、東南アジアやアフリカの国は発展途上国であるため支援が必要です。そこで考えたのがこのプロジェクトになります。

 

I began to look at the world through my study abroad experience. I learned that there is an unimaginable gap between the rich and the poor in other countries. As I am aware of our own privileged environment, I thought I want to help underprivileged children overseas. The United States and Japan have developed countries, and problems related to the poor should be managed through national systems, but countries in Southeast Asia and Africa are developing countries and need support. This is why I came up with the idea of this project.

 

このプロジェクトを始めようと思ったきっかけは留学から帰国後に届いたユニセフからの一通の手紙でした。その中には領収書が入っていて母に何かと尋ねたら戦争で大変なウクライナへの寄付金の領収書とのことでした。この時に世界中には常に危険と隣り合わせの人がいることに気づかされ私は学生でお金はあまりないので夏休みにフィリピンなどに行って現地でボランティアをしようと考えました。しかしコロナ渦ということや日本にはない病気にかかる可能性があることなどにより現地に行くことを諦めてしまいました。それでも私も遠く離れた貧困地域に何かしたいと思いクリスマスにプレゼントを届けるプロジェクトを手掛けようと思いました。

 

What inspired me to start this project was a letter from UNICEF that I received after returning from my study abroad. I asked my mother what it was, and she told me that it was a receipt for a donation to Ukraine. This letter makes me that I wanted to go to impoverished countries and do volunteer work there during my summer vacation. However, I gave up the idea because of the pandemic and the possibility of infectious diseases that do not exist in Japan. Still, I wanted to do something to help the poor communities, so I decided to work on a project to deliver presents at Christmas. 

 

 

 

 

 

プロジェクトを始動し始めた時認定ＮＰＯ法人ＣＦＦジャパンを知りました。ＣＦＦジャパンは、フィリピン、マレーシア、ミャンマーの恵まれない子ども達をさまざまな方法で支援しているＮＰＯ法人です。

 

私達にできることは少ないけれど、クリスマスの日は子ども達に笑顔になってほしいと思いました。そして「サンタさんになる」と決めました。

 

目標価格は7万円です。少ないかも知れませんが今できる精一杯の金額です。集まった金額は、フィリピンとマレーシアに半分ずつ（3万5千円）の割合でCFFジャパンに寄付します。そしてそこから、フィリピンとマレーシアの子供たちがクリスマスパーティーを開催できるよう、主に装飾品やおもちゃ、食べ物などのクリスマスプレゼントを現地に送ってもらう予定です。

 

子どもたちが笑顔でクリスマスを過ごしてくれたら、このプロジェクトの目標達成です！

We met CFF Japan, a certified non-profit organization, which made us want to take an action. CFF Japan is a non-profit organization that supports underprivileged children in the Philippines, Malaysia, and Myanmar in various ways. We are very grateful to CFF Japan for their support. Although there was not much we could do, we wanted to bring smiles to the children's faces on Christmas Day. Then we decided to "become Santa Claus".Our target price is 70,000 yen. It may not be much, but it is the best we can do right now. The money raised will be donated to CFF Japan, and CFF Japan will deliver Christmas gifts (mainly decorations, toys, food, etc.) to underprivileged children. 私たちはクラウドファンディング以外の活動として、京都にいる外国人を案内するツアーガイドもやっています。

 

京都に長年住んでいるからこそ分かる穴場スポットやおいしいレストランなどを、無料で観光客の方に案内させていただきます。

 

一連の流れとしましては

 

お昼集合　→　レストランへ　→　穴場スポットや神社仏閣など

 

となっており、お金をいただく代わりに、募金というかたちでチップを皆さんからいただければと考えています。集まったチップは認定NPO法人CFFジャパンに送金します。

多くの国にはチップカルチャーが存在しているため、それを利用した制度になっております！

 

Aside from crowdfunding, we are tour guides for people from other countries in Kyoto. We will guide tourists to the best places and restaurants in Kyoto for free, which we know because we have lived in Kyoto for many years. The flow of the tour.

Meet for lunch → Go to a restaurant → Visit a spot or a shrine or a temple, etc.

Instead of receiving money, we would like to receive tips in the form of donations. The collected tips will be sent to CFF Japan, a certified NPO. Some countries have a tipping culture, so we will get money as a tip.
