To the planned stationery, we donated sportswear, shoes, socks to individual students, and sports equipment and books to the schools. As per discussion with Dr. Begam we further donated a first aid kit and a weighing scale. The detailed photos of the donation items are as follows:

Prior to this first visit, we held many discussions on multiple occasions and decided to deliver health education programs to raise children's health awareness and instill the importance of practicing hand hygiene and oral hygiene. In addition, with the approval of the NHRC (Nepal Health Research Council) and the ethics committee of Tokyo Medical and Dental University, conducted hand and oral health survey with basic dental examinations and utilizing questionnaires for surveying their knowledge, attitude and practice of hand and oral hygiene.

First, we conducted the above activities at the Nepal National Primary school on March 26th, and provided toothbrushes, toothpaste, and soap for hand washing. It seemed that the children and their parents do not usually wash their hands or brush their teeth regularly.

In conclusion, we will review the results from the current education survey ,and develop a plan to target other elementary schools next year.
