出雲駅伝が始まった１９８９年から、ずっと出雲駅伝を見つめてきた人間です。
アイビーリーグ選抜の皆さんの真摯な姿勢、礼儀やマナーを重視する姿勢、人とのつながりを大切にする姿勢、全力で勝負に挑む姿勢に大変感激しております。アイビーリーグ選抜の躍進が近年の楽しみになっております。
特に近年は、チーム力が大きく向上していることが分かりますし、ゴールで仲間を待ち受け、皆で喜びを分かち合う姿に、日本の我々も大いに感じるものがあります。
ここまで真剣に異国の地での駅伝、出雲駅伝に取り組んでくださっていることを嬉しく思います。
アイビーリーグ選抜の参加は、大変意義のある取り組みであり、出雲駅伝を個性あるものにしている重要な要素です。
微力ながら、今後の継続を願って支援させていただきます。
平成元年のスタートから長きにわたり出雲駅伝、そして10回大会からのアイビーリーグ選抜チームを見守りいただきありがとうございます。
多くの方に支えられ、選手たちがもてる力を最大限に発揮することができました。Ekidenのすばらしさを実際に経験して選手からは「また戻ってきたい」とありがたいコメントをいただきました。選手の思い、支援いただける皆様の思いのタスキをチーム招待継続の形でつないで行けるよう頑張ります！
