Hello, Thank you for visiting the page. My name is Tetsuko Nishimura from Sunny5 English School, an English school in Neyagawa City, Osaka Prefecture. I opened Sunny5 English School in 2011, after four-year study abroad in Australia, work in an Australian kindergarten, and work five-year experience in a English conversation school. 

 

Currently, we are holding foreign picture books events in Osaka Prefecture and charity events for donating picture books to local elementary schools with children. 

 

Currently, our very ambitious project is to start a mobile library; "The Sunny5 Books Library Bus”, in 2019. It is a van carrying mainly English books, to run around the Kansai area, including; Osaka, Kyoto, Nara, Hyogo, Shiga, and other places. This bus will be available for anyone who is interested in learning English in more fun and natural ways.

 

Up to now, it has been difficult to carry many picture books for us to any events, and the storytelling sessions were held only in Osaka Prefecture. The number of picture books that could be prepared was limited to just a few books. However, creating this project will increase the types of picture books that can be carried to a much wider area and I hope that more children will learn English while having fun through picture books.
