We are Meguko, MEGUKO-Action for the Self-Reliance of Children in Asia-.
Let me tell you the story of the founding of Meguko.
The origin of Meguko dates back to 1975. The late Professor Anselmo Matais and a group of volunteer students visited India on their way back from a European travel camp and inspected an educational facility for street children called Snehasadan.
The reality of poverty and inequality surrounding children shocked Prof. Mathais and his group.
We want to give children who cannot afford primary education due to economic reasons the opportunity to receive an education and to expand their future possibilities."
As fellow human beings, we want to provide support in a way that will allow us to deliver aid with our own hands until the very end."
These thoughts were born in them.
With their strong desire, "Meguko" - Association for Supporting Independence of Children in Asia - was founded in October 1975. 
With the same passion that has guided the organization since its inception, "Meguko" is still running to bring smiles to the children's faces.
As we approach our 50th anniversary next year, we will continue to do our best under the motto of "face-to-face support.
