を2021年8月15日　開催しました。

 

すでに拍子木を受けとっている、レオン君、キキオちゃん、ルイスくん、

ヒデキくんは拍子木を使ってくれています。

 

今回初参加のケニー、みそらちゃん、ソフィア、エドウィン、ヴィクターは

拍子木を持っていません。

 

今後どうしていくのか考え中です。

Dear Everyone,

Today is the memorial day of the end of the war in Japan.

In the past, Japan started and lost the war.

The Japanese hurt a lot of people in other countries, and

many Japanese were also hurt.

Japan was bombed, and many children lost their homes and their families in the fires and bombings.

They were starving and did not have any sweets or toys, not even a doll. In the burnt-out cities and neighborhoods, kamishibai performers (kamishibai-ya) came riding on bicycles and entertained the children.

Kamishibai-ya sold sweets and told kamishibai stories to the children, and then they headed to the next neighborhood to entertain more children.

This was before TV.

The children would look forward to the arrival of kamishibai man each day with their pocket money ready to buy sweets from him.

As soon as they heard the sound of wooden clappers (hyoshigi) calling the children, they would run to see the kamishibai man.

I would like to ask you all a favor. When you perform kamishibai for somebody,

please tell the story with love in your hearts. Then you will also receive love as a gift from the audience.

You and the audience are friends beyond any differences of nationality, age, handicap, rich or poor.

Let’s all enjoy kamishibai!
