My name is Manami, and I work as a freelance content planner and accordion technician. I am launching this crowdfunding campaign to pursue specialized training in Italy in October 2025.

 

I aim to become a professional capable of preserving and evolving the culture of the accordion. This project is a personal challenge and a step toward becoming someone who can both repair instruments and connect people through music.

Why I’m Heading to Italy for Training

Italy is home to Castelfidardo, a town known worldwide for its accordion craftsmanship. It’s the hub of high-level instrument makers and technicians. In Japan, there are still very few places where one can learn specialized accordion repair and tuning. To fill that gap and further deepen my own skills, I’ve decided to take the leap and train abroad.

 

The goal is not just to acquire technical skills. I also want to absorb the values and philosophy of accordion makers and bring them back to Japan. This will help me offer more authentic services and share the joy of accordions with more people.

 

By undergoing this training, I can strengthen my foundation as a technician and provide higher-quality service to musicians and instrument owners.

 

 

 

My Dream: Passing on the Soul of Accordions

 

My passion for accordions began through encounters with people who play and love the instrument. I was drawn to its warm, nostalgic tones and the stories of each instrument and player.

 

I want to preserve not only the instruments themselves but also the culture, memories, and emotional connections they carry. To do that, I need the right techniques and knowledge—and this training is a key step.

 

Eventually, I want to create a place where people can casually drop by with their accordions, talk about music, and feel safe entrusting their instruments. A warm, inclusive space that connects sound, hands, and hearts.

 

This dream starts with the courage to take a step abroad. And I hope you’ll help me take that step.

All the funds raised through this project will be used for travel and training-related expenses in Italy. These include:
