I have interacted with Dr. Aoshima for the past eight years, both in work and private. When we first spoke, I immediately sensed that he was an extraordinary researcher with great knowledge and insight. This was because, he offered several sharp solutions in a short time while discussing about how to solve the research problems of HSA. I was really surprised, which was like a shock. In fact, most of what he pointed out at the time have been proven to be correct. This confirmed his high research ability. I was more impressed by his passion and awareness of the problem of HSA, and his desire to do something about it. As a researcher and as a friend, I hope that His research will be successful, and I would like to ask you all to support this project.

Veterinary medicine has been improved day by day, but it is true that there are still “incurable diseases” in animals. HSA is one of the diseases. To save the dogs suffering from HSA, Dr. Aoshima’s basic research is essential. However, in the case of research that are not known to many people, it is also true for researchers to obtain enough research funds. I was also in trouble with the shortage of research funds because my research need long time to get results. Thus, I also tried to get supports from people by crowdfunding.  At the beginning. I was nervous if people could support me, but I got warm messages and supports from many people, which gave me the courage that I am not alone! Research on difficult problems takes time and needs a lot of research funds. To save the dogs with HSA, please support Dr. Aoshima to conduct this research.

Dr. Jumpei Yamazaki

I have been working with Dr. Aoshima for a long time. He always tackles difficult problems without hesitation in both research and education. I am impressed by his attitude to try new things every time. Translational research is required to connect the results of basic research to clinical applications. The HSA PDX library which Dr. Aoshima is trying to create and the results obtained by using it are important resources for translational research. This project definitely accelerates HSA research and lead to the development of novel HSA treatment methods. It is not easy to accomplish, but I believe he will make this project successful. I would like you all to contribute this project.

I first met Dr. Aoshima when he was one of the most active PhD students in my English lessons. So I had mixed feelings when he was promoted to Assistant Professor ahead of schedule because I was losing a dynamic student, yet gaining a trusted colleague. Since then, we have collaborated on countless workshops, seminars, and other educational activities. In addition to carrying out his lab duties and seeing every one of his PhD students go on to complete their diplomate, he created a new student-led session at our faculty’s annual conference that has continued successfully for six years running. This is all to say that Dr. Aoshima is more than a laboratory researcher—at the heart of his efforts is a desire to improve the conditions of his profession and those he works with. He’s a leader working for the benefit of the team. I believe these qualities make him successful and deserving of your contributions.
