世界大会出場をかけて、日本にコーフボール選手たちが集結！

We are the steering committie of Asia-Oceania Koefball Championship 2018.

 

Korfball is a sport compete against teams that consists of 4 men and 4 women. It doesn't allow dribble a ball, so players have to make a score only by passes and shoots toward to the designated 3.5 meter-high goal.

 

This sport has very unique advantages in terms of the equality between men and women, and the safeness due to the small body contacts. It became a very popular sport played in about 70 countries in the world, and its recognition degree is also increased in Japan these days.

 

And in this summer,,, Asia-Oceania Koefball Championship of this fantastic sport will be finally held in Japan! Players will come to this competition to earn a spot at the international championship.

However,,, now we have an trouble of it. We have been preparing for this competition for so long, but now we do not have enough fund to make people have fun as much as we want them to!!

 

Our goal is there will be as many people to enjoy this new sport with us! So we need your support now!

 

 

Our motto is "feel satisfuctions having sports and friends in your life".

 

Korfball originated in the rules of basket ball. After it was born in Netherland in 1902, it spreaded so quickly to all over the Europe. In 1933, International Korfball League was found and its international championship has been feld once every 4 years.

 

In Netherland, this is very like a family-sport that both of men and women can enjoy it together, or even a 5-year old kid and his grandpa or grandma can play in the same club.

 

 

Now it also became popular by degrees in Tokyo since its training session was held there about 17 years ago.

 

 

There are 3 reasons why Korfball became this popular and loved sport.

 

1. Team consists of 8 members, 4 men and 4 women(body contacts and the mark of opposite sexes are prohibited )

2. Players cannot dribble, passes are the main strategy(you cannot make more than 2 steps holding a ball in your hand)

3. You can always get 1 score when you make a goal, but no more than it even though you throw the ball from any difficult angle or far distance.

 

Now you can see how easy to start this sport, can't you? My teammate sometimes says "I didn't think I could enjoy this sport like this much, now i'm feeling like I'm repeating my youth again!".lol

 

 

As you saw now, we believe Korfball is such a worthful sport in this period. But unfortunately we have only 10 prefectures we can play Korfball in Japan. (Such a disaster!!)

 

Why don't we make an action now? No, now we do!

In order to make people know, feel, and enjoy this awesome sport, we decided to invite wonderful Korfball players to Japan and have a big competition here ahead of an international championship in 2020!

Games by representatives of each country must resonate people who still do not know this sport!!

 

 

Need your donations to success AOKC 2018!

 

AOKC means Asia-Oceania Korfball Championship. In this tournament, representative players gathered from over 10 countries will do exciting games, and top 6 teams can earn a spot at the international chanpionship held in South Africa next year!

 

Japanese delegates are 16members in total. Our goal is (1) to earn a spot to the international championship, of course! (2)to make all participants enjoy this tournament in Japan, and (3) to notify people Korfball is such a fun sport!

 

We really earger to success this event by achieving these purposes.

 

The use of your donations.

This competition will be a big event that many people from the world will participate, and to be honest,,, the fund needed is further more than we expected at the beginning. The donations you would make will be used for the part of this operating funds in order to success this historical event!

 

 

Spread "Korfball" to all prefectures in Japan by 2020.
Hope everyone can play it "anytime" "anywhere" when they want.

 

Please imagine your (even a small) donation will be a huge trigger to spread Korfball to all over Japan. 17 years ago, people didn't have the way to know about Korfball well without someone who already knew it, but things all changed now. We believe this new sport will be acknowledged widely once this our difficult challenge is succeeded.

 

Our future goal is that everyone can play it in warm, family-like club environments wherever and whenever they want as people in Netherland do already.
