Friends of Animals is a nonprofit organization that rescues and protects abandoned, sick and injured cats and dogs for almost 30 years. 

 

Most of the protected animals were rescued from various  situations.　During these 30 years, many cats and dogs were protected in our shelter and some of them were lucky to find new families. 

 

In addition to the shelter for animals, we also have organized a space for college and high school students, for children in general, who can spend their free time among cats and dogs (out of school or their home).

 

Children and students especially are welcome in this organized space（called Flat-flat with cats & dogs） whenever they want to come, out of their regular school time. 

 

At present, most of cats and dogs in our shelter are old-aged. 

Caring for senior cats and dogs is becoming more and more challenging and expensive. This is why we need to change our shelter into a hospitalized place.

We want to do our best not only protecting poor cats and dogs, but also making them happy and safe until their lives end.

 

The biggest problem and now became permanent, is the cost of the medical care and the special food the senior cats and dogs must get, according to their health condition.  

 

As everyone knows, for some time now, the prices of food and medical supplies, electricity etc. are higher and the possibility of having the senior pets adopted is dramatically lower.
