Never abandon the raptors that are injured by humans

We will continue to fulfill our responsibilities as human beings who caused the injury.
 
The Institute for Raptor Biomedicine Japan have been working based on the idea that humans should take "responsibilities" for protecting wild raptors that are injured because of human activities for the enrichment of human beings. If any of such animals cannot return to the wild, then we should prepare an environment in which such animals are given a place to play an active part to realize “symbiosis” of human and wildlife.
 
The scope of budget, however, is limited that the Ministry of the Environment provides for rescue activities of endangered raptors to a portion of the food and treatment costs only for some of the species designated under the law (Act on Conservation of Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora).
 
That means we raise expenses on our own for various advanced medical instruments, treatment expenses (including medicines, surgical equipment, foods etc.) for injured or sick birds, and breeding cost for individuals that cannot return to the wild.
 
Through our previous crowdfunding campaign, we received so many donations and warm encouragement from so many people.  We are truly grateful for your kind support.
 
However, the needs to continue our activities are not temporary.  A large amount of activity funds is necessary every month for updating medical equipment, breeding and treatment expenses, and purchasing equipment for research.
 
While we are doing our best to operate independently, honestly speaking, it is difficult to raise all the funds on our own right away.  Because of such situation, we hereby request your assistance once again.  Your help and support will become our strength to move forward.
 
The support from you on this crowdfunding will be allocated to update and improve deteriorated medical equipment, breeding expenses for un-releasable individuals, and purchase equipment necessary for follow-up surveys of animals returned to the wild.
 
Lastly, we hope that this crowdfunding campaign will help raise awareness of these injured raptors and become an opportunity to think about the symbiosis between humans and these animals.
