【日本三大祇園】八坂神社を守り継ぎ、また宍喰に活気を取り戻したい！

ここで「宍喰八坂神社を守る会」のメンバーの紹介をさせて頂きます。

 

●島崎 勝弘 ／69歳／海陽町•宍喰出身

宍喰小・中学校、水産高校を卒業後、勝丸に乗船。現在は地元の竹ヶ島で漁業を経営。旧宍喰町のシンボルとして昔から祇園さんで親しまれている神社のため、また賑やかに栄える事を望んでいます。できるだけ多くの方に賛同を得られ、一日でも早く修復できますようご協力をお願い申し上げます。

 

Katsuhiro Shimazaki / 69 years old / From Shishikui in Kaiyo Town.

After graduating from Shishikui elementary and junior high school and a fisherman’s trade school, I then became a fisherman. Today I run a fishing business in my hometown of Takegashima. Since Gion-san is a shrine that has been part of the community for so long as a symbol of the former Shishikui town, I hope that it will be properly restored once again. I ask for the support of as many people as possible and that they will partner with us so that we can repair it as soon as possible.

自営業。自分は、子供の時、また大人になってからも、だんじりの金幣の組に入っておりましたから祇園祭の前から打ち上げが終わるまで、一日中、金幣と一緒にいたという印象が強く残っています。一時は大黒堂の秀くんと世話もしていたので、思い出すと懐かしいです。金幣の巡行は他のだんじりとは異なり、お神輿に従うという古来からの習俗があり、浜から還御して四つ辻まで帰ってきたら大山、小山と同様に八坂神社に帰ります。これが他のだんじりとは違うところで子供の時は自分達はもっとだんじりを曳いて町を練り歩きたかった半面、誇りでもありました。宍喰八坂神社の祭については、どういう風に今まで守られてきたのかという歴史の事、宍喰の人達の信仰の事、祭神の事などを知ることが基本だと思っています。少しだけ勉強したらある程度の事は分かってきます。宍喰八坂神社はこれからも宍喰で人々を守り続ける祭神の鎮座する社であって欲しいと思います。

お金はできるだけ集めて100％以上になって欲しい。その場合全て屋根の修理に回さず一部は預金として残すことを考えても良いのではないか。（大工組合と交渉して修繕工事代金の調整も必要）工事を始めるについては今一度、氏子の臨時総会を開くとか屋根の工事が竣工したら寄付してくれた人だけでなく、できるだけ多くの宍喰の人に参加してもらうなどして実際に分かってもらう、見てもらうように努力する事が重要だと考えます、そこにクラウドファンディング成功の大きな意義があると思います。クラウドファンディングでお金を集めて上乗せしなかったら、修理はできなかったと皆に分かってもらえるわけです。自分達だけで喜んでいても、町の人に、これだけの金額を集めたのだから修理ができたのだと、分かってもらえなかったら何の意味もない。

 

Tadashi Inoue / 71 years old / From Shishikui in Kaiyo Town.

I'm self-employed. When I was a kid and even as an adult, I was on the Kinpei Danjiri parade float team. Therefore, I felt that I was personally responsible for the Kinpei Danjiri float all day during the Gion festivals. At one point, I was also taking care of Daikokudo's owner’s Danjiri float, so I feel quite nostalgic remembering it. Unlike other "danjiri", pulling the Kinpei Danjiri float has an ancient meaning of following the gods, and we return from the beach to Yotsuji road. After that, we returned to Yasaka Shrine along with the Oyama and Koyama floats. This is a different role from the other danjiri, and while we were children, we wanted to pull more "danjiri" and parade through the town, and we were very proud. Regarding the festival of Shishikui Yasaka Shrine, I think it is basic to know the history of how it has been protected, the beliefs of the Shishikui people, and the gods that we worship. If you study a little, you will understand a few things. I hope Shishikui Yasaka Shrine will continue to be a shrine where people pray to the gods that protect the people of Shishikui. I hope we can achieve 100% of the fundraising goal or more. In that case, I think you may consider not using all the donations for roof repairs and leaving some for the future. (It is also necessary to negotiate with the carpenter's association and account for the repair work price) Regarding the start of construction, not only the people who donated when the roof construction was completed, such as holding an special general meeting of the parishioners, but also as many Shishikui people as possible who will participate. I think it is important to make an effort to get them involved. I think that is the great significance of the success of crowdfunding. Because if we aren’t able to collect money from crowdfunding, everyone will know that we couldn't repair the shrine. Even if we are satisfied with ourselves, it would be meaningless if the townspeople don’t see that "We were able to repair it because we collected this amount of money."

町職員と農業。八坂神社（祇園さん）の近くに生まれ育ち、今も生活をしています。子供の頃は、毎日のように集まり、遊び、楽しかった思い出がいっぱい詰まった心地よく神聖で特別な場所です。初詣や祇園祭には大勢の人々で賑わっていました。人手の多い都会へ行っても「祇園さんの祭りみたいや！」と思ったぐらいです。今でも毎朝祇園さんの境内の大きな楠木を見上げています。綺麗に改装された宍喰の祇園さんに多くの人々が参拝に訪れ、伝統行事のお祭りが催されることを願っています。皆様のご協力、ご支援を宜しくお願い申し上げます。

 

Tadashi Yamada / 67 years old / From Shishikui in Kaiyo Town.

I worked for the local government staff and now I’m a farmer in Shishikui. I was born and raised near Yasaka Shrine (Gion) and live there to this day. As a kid, it was a cozy, sacred and special place full of fun memories of gathering, playing and having fun every day. The first visit and the Gion Festival were crowded with many people. Even though I moved to a city with a lot of people, I still treasured memories of Gion-san's festivals. I still look up at the big camphor tree by the shrine every morning. I hope that many people will come to pray at the beautifully renovated Shishikui Gion and celebrate the traditional festivals. I appreciate your cooperation and support.

（旧）海南高校を卒業後、神奈川の大学に進学。（高校と大学は野球部に所属）。東京で42年間働いた後、62歳で地元へUターン。

子供の頃に賑やかだったお祭りやお正月を自分の子供や孫に残して行きたいです。皆さんのお力で成功させて頂き、一人でも多くの移住者や住人が増えることを願っています。どうかご協力をお願い致します。

 

Toshihiko Matsumoto / 67 years old / From Shishikui in Kaiyo Town.

After graduating from Kainan High School, I went to a university in Kanagawa. I was in baseball clubs in high school and college. After working in Tokyo for 42 years, I made a U-turn to my hometown at the age of 62. I want to share the festivals and New Years of his childhood with my children and grandchildren. I hope that we will succeed and increase the number of people moving to and living in Shishikui as much as possible. Thank you for your contributions.

地元宍喰で生まれ、地元の小中高校を卒業し、地元に就職する。ゴミの収集員と息子の農業を手伝う。小さい頃は遊び場といえば祇園さんだったが、最近は遊んでいる子供たちが一人もいなくなって寂しい。皆さんの力で成功し、又、昔の様に賑やかな祇園さんになって欲しい。

 

Shinji Nishio / 58 years old / From Shishikui in Kaiyo Town.

Born in Shishikui, I graduated from local elementary, junior high and high schools, and got a job in the local area. I help the garbage collector and on my son’s farm. When I was little, I used to enjoy Gion-san as a playground, but nowadays I miss the children playing there. I hope the crowdfunding project succeeds and Gion-san is restored to its former self.

大学を卒業後、家業（佐川製材）を継ぐ。（旧）海南高校時代は野球部に所属。祇園さんとよばれ親しまれた”八坂神社”。悠々とした大きな楠木の下で親父と息子が笑っている写真を見ると、とても感慨深いものがあります。あまりにも酷く傷んだ拝殿が綺麗に修繕されることを望んでいます。皆様のご協力とご支援をよろしくお願いします。

 

Yoshio Sagawa / 63 years old / From Shishikui in Kaiyo Town.

After graduating from university, I took over my family business (Sagawa Sawmill). I belonged to the baseball club when I was in Kainan High School. It’s called "Gion-san" and is known as "Yasaka Shrine.'' I’m deeply moved by the pictures of my father and my son laughing under the big camphor tree near the shrine. I hope that the hall of worship, which has been damaged so severely, will be repaired cleanly. I appreciate your cooperation and support.
