メッセージリレー第3弾 ：竹村由紀
みなさまこんにちは。東京大学大学院博士課程の竹村由紀と申します。このプロジェクトでは、東京大学・ポートランド州立大学(アメリカ)・サントトマス大学(フィリピン)の建築を専門とする教員・学生が、リサーチ・コミュニティキッチンの設計整備をサポートしていて、その活動の調整役としてずっとこのプロジェクトに参加してきました。
特に東京大学建築学科では、昨年4月〜7月にかけて、授業の一環としてこのプロジェクトに取り組み、隈研吾教授、中村航助教、そしてポートランド州立大学のセルジオ・パレローニ教授の指導のもと、８名の修士学生がコミュニティキッチンを含めたセントマーサエステートのためのデザインに取り組みました。その後は、約半数の学生有志が上記教員の指導のもと、このプロジェクトで継続的に活動しています。
コミュニティキッチンの設計のため、修士学生や先生と一緒に何度もセントマーサエステートを訪れていますが、その度にお母さんたちは我々を温かく迎え入れてくれ、一緒に料理をしてご飯を食べたり、コミュニティキッチンの模型を見ながら理想のキッチンについて語り合ったりしてきました。訪問を重ねると、日に日にお母さんたちのこのプロジェクトへの熱意が高まっていくのが分かり、私も本設のコミュニティキッチンの整備を成功させて、お母さんたちの活躍の場を作りたいという思いが日々強くなっています。
子供達に栄養のある食事をさせたい、自分が働いて家族を支えたい、子育てと両立しながらやりがいのある仕事がしたい、そうしたお母さんたちの願いを実現するために、みなさまのご支援が必要です。ご支援、どうぞよろしくお願いいたします！
