Support kindergarten in Syria is to protect the future

[Crowd Funding was finished, so we wrote the report]

 

 

Hello! This is Takayuki Nakano, representative of "Piece of Syria".

Our group has supported kindergarten and schools inside Syria, and these schools have not received from any other organizaition.

 

 

 

 

 

During 2008 and 2010, I worked in Syria as JICA (Japan Overseas Cooperation Agency) volunteer. Through the expeience, I live Syrian people and these culture.

 

 

 
Since 2016, thank you for your donation, we can get more than 1 million JPY, and I have worked with the partner NGO [A little Help is Enough] for supporting education inside Syria.

 

We did talk event and photo exhibition in Japan.

Thank you for that, annually, we can support more than 500 Syrian children.

 

 

 

And now, we are doing "crowd funding" to support kindergarten for that Syrian kids can get education and will create peace in the future.
 

Our goal is 2 million yen. The amount can help 200 Syrian kids to go to kindergarten for 1 year.

 

 

 

 

“Support is nesessary in the place where Japanese people cannot enter,” so, we have supported schools and kindergartens in Syria.
 
The most important thing is sending teacher's salary.

 

If the situation without salary for long time, there is a risk that teachers leave school because they need money for thier family.

And without teachers, the school will be closed. And once closed, it will be difficult to resume it.
 

Last year, our crowd funding was suceess. So 100 children can learn with peace of mind.

 

 

 

We could get more than the targeted amount, we were able to deliver fuel and stoves to the elementary school with 400 children. Winter in Syria are so severe, freezing. And without heaters, children might hesitate to go to school because of the cold.

 

 

 

Children who lost educational opportunities, might choose the option of child labor and begging for just today.

And without the ability to read, write or calculate, it will be difficult to get good job, and sometimes they get weapons.

 

 
By delivering the teacher's salary continuously, we can protect the environment where children study with peaceful mind.  It leads to creating the peaceful future.

 

 

 

 

 

After last year ’s support, we received a message from the teacher.
 
Education is "all". And children are the future.

Losing their future is harder than we are hungry.

 

Supporting teachers' salary is indispensable for teachers in Syria where prices are rising.

 

One year hudget for all teachers rewars was so helpful in our harsh situiation. I have no word to express how grateful for your contribution.

 

And if there was no kindergarten, our children would have stayed home without education.
 

 

 

< How to use the targeted amount >
16 teachers' annual rewards: 16 x 75 $ x 12 month = 14,400 $
Commission for crowd funding company : 370,000 JPY
Return expenses: 37,000 JPY
 
(The exceeding the target amount will be used for necessary managing cost of kindergarten, such as writing material, fuel, and electricity bills)

 

 

 

 

 

We will support the future of 200 children.

Do you think this number is too small?
