Donation instructions for English speakers residing in Japan

 

The Kerria Project is a non-profit organization that was founded in 2018 by families and friends of severely disabled children in Kawagoe City, Saitama Prefecture in Japan. The current goal of this project is to create "Yukari no Ki", a day service facility for disabled people, that will open in Kawagoe in 2020.

 

In order to raise funds for Yukari no Ki, we have started crowdfunding with Readyfor on October 30, 2019. Our goal is to raise ¥2,000,000 by December 20, 2019.

 

If you can’t write Japanese but wish to offer us your support, I hope this guide will help you. If you have any questions or difficulties filling in the form, please feel free to contact Shizuko Yamagishi at kerriaproject2018@gmail.com.

 

First of all, please have your bank account information ready if you are donating directly to the Readyfor account without using a credit card. Readyfor will refund your donation if the amount raised does not reach our target amount, so they need your bank account in order to send the refund to you in that case. Probably the best way to do this to have the bank’s home page on screen so that you can copy and paste necessary information such as the name of the bank or the branch office.

 

* Note that your credit card and bank information will be on secure forms and your name and address will not be given to anyone other than Shizuko Yamagishi and the Readyfor staff in charge of our fundraising campaign.

 

Readyfor also asks you your mailing address. If you can’t type in Japanese, you might as well have your address typed for you in Japanese and have it ready for copy and paste.

 

Then go to

and choose the amount of support from the right side menu (simply click on “8,000円”, “15,000円”, “30,000円”, “50,000円”, “100,000円 or “3,000円” at the top of each box on the right).

 

On the next page, you will see a blank box below the following phrase; 質問にお答えください。

If you are donating more than \15,000 your name will be on the list of benefactors on our website from January 2020. Please put your name in the box. If you don’t want your name to be shown on the list, please copy and paste the following two characters: 不要

 

In the section below please make sure that you have chosen the right amount then scroll down to choose the means of payment. You can choose from “credit card“ or “direct payment into the bank account.” Having done that, click on the red button at the bottom right of that page.

 

On the next page, click on the little square on the left to put a check to claim that you are not involved in any criminal activities, then click the red button at the right bottom of that page.

 

If you have chosen the “credit card” option, you will be asked to fill in the types of the card, expiry date, the card number, and the security code on the back of your card (please note that the expiry date must be December 2019 or later).

 

If you have chosen the bank option, you are asked to fill in your bank account information as described above. Use the below translation as a guide;

 

銀行　The name of your bank

支店名　The branch

預金種別　The type of your account (most commonly 普通)

口座番号　The account number（7 digits）*

口座名義　The name of the account holder in Katakana

電話番号　Your phone number

 

Regardless of the type of payment you have chosen, you are asked to fill in your mailing address.

 

郵便番号　The Postal Code

都道府県　The prefecture (choose from the options)

市区町村　The city or township

番地、マンション名など　The address (and the name of the building if applicable)

宛名　姓　The last name of the receiver  名　The given name of the receiver

電話番号　Your phone number

 

After you finish filling your address, click on the red box below. The next page asks you to check that all the information you have filled is correct. If you are sure it is, click on 支援を確定する。

 

You will see 支援が完了しました which tells you that your donation was successful. Then you’ll be asked to fill in the comment. Click on コメントafter you fill in the comment box (If you don’t wish to make your personal comment, just leave it blank).
