CATS WELCARE is an organization dedicated to rescuing and rehousing cats in Japan. This includes operating our shelter, caring for cats in need, and carrying out rescue activities.

Our mission is to save as many cats as possible and provide them with a happy environment and a comfortable life. We need your help to do this.

Currently, our shelter is able to house twenty-five cats; however, this is not enough. There are cats with no homes that need our help, but also, due to Japan’s increasingly aging population, many individuals are forced, due to health concerns and old age, to entrust their cats to us. These calls have been increasing; we understand how much people love their cats and how hard it is to give them up, hoping they will be better cared for. People depend on us to provide these cats with a better future and the care they need.


We are currently struggling to provide safe shelter to all the cats in need, especially elderly cats and those with physical challenges who need additional care. Although we are doing our absolute best to ensure all cats that need us can live comfortably and receive the care they need, we do not have enough space or resources to do so. We are currently unable to take in all of the cats who need us due to concerns that limited space and resources may cause stress and that we will ultimately be unable to care for them.
