Makuhari Irish Festival March 21st

The purpose of the project


Hi everyone,  my name is Hirotaka Sato, Senior Director of Oyako Café (NPO).
St Patrick's Day Parade will be held  on the 21st March in Makuhari.
St Patrick's Day Parades are held all over the world, (as well as 12 cities in Japan)
On the day of the Parade, many  people who like Ireland wear something green, Shamrock Green　and join a  Parade.
Shamrock is a green three leaf clover, we can see it in many places in Ireland.
The three leaves symbolize the Holy Trinity(God the Father, God the Son & God the Holy Ghost)
Please join our Parade, wear something green! Don't worry the Parade is free.
Meeting place is a beautiful huge park, so you can relax.  There are Food stalls from local shops.

Date   March 21st (Friday - National Holiday)
Meeting place in Front of the Flower Clock in Kaihim-Makuhari Park.
Time 11:00 am - 16:00 pm  ( Parade starts 13:30 pm)
Estimated number of participants  500.


Participation in the Parade is free, but  we don't have enough money . Even though the Parade is only on for a short time,

Please support us by buying coffee, pizza and Makuhari T-shirts from Readyfor      Oyako Café

The money will be used  for PA equipment for the Festival.
The equipment will be used for the live music and announcements. Without a mike, we cannot hear the
music clearly.
If we can borrow the PA equipment , announcements are clear and people can enjoy listening to music.
And, it will be an enjoyable day for everyone.


Let's drink a pint of Guinness at Irish Pub 'Always'

After the Festival and the parade,  let's get together at Always.
Anyone can join us between 17;00~22:00 at Always on the 5th floor of Plena.
which faces the south side exit of Kaihim- Makuhari Station.<Keiyo line>.
