無事に帰国しました🛫

21日の深夜に心育一行は、無事に帰国しました🛫

 

このプロジェクトをいつも温かく応援してくださった皆様のおかげです！

 

本当に濃い旅でしたので、一言では表せませんが、

学校視察を2校、そして最後の訪問都市ウェリントンでは、美樹ちゃんのお知り合いが勤務されている国会議事堂で、訪問のアポイントを取ってくださり

『Educators and students』というセクションで働かれている方々とお話する機会をいただきました！

 

あまりに大きな組織で私たちは恐縮しましたが、そんな私たちにも惜しみなく、とても丁寧に対応してくださり、ニュージーランドの人々の温かさを随所に感じる旅となりました。

 

Educators and students セクションは、

教育者と学生に対して議会の役割や民主主義を体験的に学べる機会を提供するための教育支援をしているところで、学生たちが主体性を持って生きることをサポートする大きな役割を担っていると感じました。

 

この旅を通して、様々な職場、教育現場を訪問させていただき、多くのことを感じました。

どの現場でも役職以上に、情熱を持って取り組まれているその姿が印象的でした。

情報として見聞きするだけでは決して得られない、貴重な経験をさせていただきました。

 

あまりに情報が多く、これから一つ一つ整理していき、私たちに出来ることを探っていくところです。

現地で温かく歓迎してくださったみなさまにも心から感謝申し上げます。

 

そして、一緒に旅をしたメンバーそれぞれみんなが、さまざまな役割でサポートし合えたことは、本当に良かったです！！

 

時々抜けてしまう大人2名を過信してはいけないと、子どもたちの主体性が育まれる機会にもなったと感じました。

逆に親は完璧でないくらいの方が、子どもが自立することを身を持って感じました。

【おまけのエピソード】

 

そして、旅にトラブルは付き物（笑）

旅中でも、青ざめる出来事がありましたが、最後の最後にオチが・・・

 

実は私（寿里）、スマートフォンをニュージーランドの国内線の飛行機に忘れてしまったのです…！

 

ウェリントン→オークランドの国内線の飛行機で、前の席のポケットに入れたまま気づかずに国際線のターミナルに移動し、セキュリティチェックまで受けた後に気づき、時間が迫る中、大慌てで走って戻るという・・・

 

結果、スマホは見つからず・・・

 

帰国してから、空港にしつこく問い合わせ、なんと！！2日たった昨日、見つかったというメールが届きました！！

 

奇跡ですーーー！！

 

委託業者にお願いして、郵送してもらう予定です。

ですので、私のスマホが戻るまでは、LINEの返信など遅れることがあります。（iPadでLINEは使えます）

ご不便をおかけします。

 

あとは帰国するだけと安心して爆睡してしまい、完全に寝ぼけていました。

家に帰るまで気を抜いてはいけないと、肝に銘じました。

The Cocoiku team safely returned to Japan at midnight on the 21st 🛫

This was all thanks to the warm support we have continuously received from all of you.

 

It was such a meaningful journey that it is difficult to put into just a few words.

 

We visited two schools, and in our final destination, Wellington, we had the special opportunity to visit the Parliament building, where Miki’s friend works. Thanks to their arrangements, we were able to meet with members of the Educators and Students section.

 

Although we felt a little overwhelmed by such a large organization, they welcomed us warmly and responded to us with great kindness. We truly felt the warmth of the people of New Zealand throughout our journey.

 

The Educators and Students section provides educational opportunities for teachers and students to learn about the role of Parliament and democracy through hands-on experiences. I felt that this section plays a very important role in supporting students to live with a strong sense of independence and responsibility.

 

Through this trip, we had the chance to visit various workplaces and educational settings, and we learned so much.

It was an invaluable experience that we could never have gained simply by hearing or reading information.

 

Now, as there was so much to take in, we are in the process of carefully organizing everything and exploring what we can do moving forward.

 

Our first step is to prepare for the Lecture & New Zealand Report Meeting on September 20th, as well as to move ahead with preparing the returns for those who kindly supported us.

We would also like to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who warmly welcomed us in New Zealand.

 

And we are truly grateful that each member of our team supported one another in different roles throughout the trip.

 

At times, the children had to step up when the two adults (who occasionally got a bit absent-minded 😅) could not be fully relied upon. But this, in fact, became a wonderful opportunity for the children to develop their independence.

I felt strongly that parents do not need to be perfect—it is sometimes better, as it helps children learn to stand on their own.

 

 

 

 

【Bonus Episode】

 

As you know, no trip is without its troubles (and yes, we had some shocking moments along the way 😅). But in the very end, one last surprise awaited us…

 

I (Juri) accidentally left my smartphone in the seat pocket on a domestic flight from Wellington to Auckland 😱.

I only realized it after going through security at the international terminal, and I rushed back desperately—but there was no information about my phone.

 

Even after returning to Japan, I kept contacting the airport persistently. And today, I finally received an email saying that my phone had been found!!

What a miracleーーー✨

 

I will ask a courier company to arrange shipping, so it should be returned to me soon.

Until then, I’ll be using LINE on my iPad, so my replies might be a little delayed. I apologize for any inconvenience.
