Table Chief for Table 5 titled “Participatory Urban Planning: Developing Inclusivity & Accessibility in the Globalized Cities” or simply Participatory Urban Planning for short

Q: What made you want to join ISC67, and what are your goals as a part of the organization? What is it like to work at ISC67 so far?
The theme for ISC67 is New Normal: Unity without Boundaries, and with the pandemic changing how we interact with our environments, a discussion about solutions addressing the consequences of a worldwide occurrence is relevant. I think as students, we all hold some sort of responsibility to the environment that shaped us to become who we are, and it is our duty to improve it for the next generations to come. 

We are equipped with our intellect and sense of social justice that sitting idly and waiting for progress to happen is not a common trend in our generation today. It sounds serious, I know, but I believe ISC67 is also a great opportunity for its participants to feel that they are contributing to a progessive cause and at the same time gauge what they want to do more in life in a fun and engaging manner!

Q: What is the one word that describes yourself? Why did you choose this word?
Futurist! But not in a sci-fi, utopian kind of way, but more… thinking ahead, daydreaming of what the future can hold for everyone and its accompanying change, to the point it can feel like mental gymnastics with a mix of gambling thinking of the possibilities. I feel the best when I’m thinking of the future, it allows my thoughts to be at two places at the same time. It can be a bad thing as well, but I try to look at the abundant side of things! 

Q: Please tell us your thoughts or passion towards crowdfunding or the upcoming ISC67 main conference!
I hope that people see that what we’re doing for the ISC67 is a great platform for student-led discussions!
