メッセージリレー第2弾 ：キム・セリーゴ
みなさんこんにちは。スタッフのキムです。
わたしも２児の母親ですが、このプロジェクトに関わって「みんなでなんとかすることはできる」ことを学びました。わたしもスラム出身で、子供のころは学校を続けることが難しかったです。くじけそうになりましたがなんとか大学をでて今にいたっています。このプロジェクトで学校の放課後に栄養バランスや野菜の育て方を子供たちに教えながら、いままでの苦労が報われている気持ちになりました。教えることがとても楽しいです。
おかあさんたちは現地のカマルフリーダの事務所を仮設キッチンにするときも、掃除をしたりペンキを塗ったりして手伝ってくれましたが、どんなキッチンが姿を現すのかよく分かっていませんでした。でも、姿を現したキッチンをみて、びっくりしたり感激したり！ おかあさんたちの表情がすごく明るくなっていて、つい先ごろまでトイレもない掘っ立て小屋でゴミ山のなかで暮らしていたとは思えません。料理教室も大好き、つくるのも大好き、野菜スナックを子供たちに与えたり、売って歩いたりするのも大好きです。設計を担当してくださった学生さんたちはすごいパワーがありますね！
今おかあさんたちは、「もっとすごいコミュニティキッチンができるんだ！」とデザインをみて楽しみにしています。みなさんには感謝の言葉もありません。どうかこのプロジェクトを支援してください！
