　Music / musical instrument experience

祖母、母ともにピアノ教師でしたが、父が趣味としていたヴァイオリンを4歳から始めました。私は手が小さいのでピアノには向きませんでした。
幼い頃から母と一緒に歌を歌うのが好きで、よく一緒に歌っていた記憶があって、歌うことはとても好きです。音楽の基本はいつの時代も「歌」、合唱曲も大好きです。

—My grandmother and mother were both piano teachers. I started playing the violin, which my father used to be a hobby, at the age of four. I was not suitable for the piano because my hands were small.
I've loved singing songs with my mother since I was child, and I remember singing with them often. I like singing very much. The basis of music is always"songs". Also choruses.


2, 好きな曲や作曲家、アーティスト
    Favorite songs, composers, artists

好きな曲はベルリオーズの幻想交響曲と、バルトークのオーケストラのための協奏曲、寝る前に良く聴いてます。ウィリアム・バードの教会合唱も大好きです。あとはスピッツ。オペラで有名なビゼーのピアノ曲は全て惹かれます。

—My favorite songs are Berlioz's fantasy symphony and Bartok's orchestra concerto. I listen to it a lot before going to bed. I also love William Byrd's church chorus.
And Spitz. All of Bizet's piano songs, which are famous for opera, are attracted.

昔バイオリンを習っていた鷲見四郎先生の奥様が遠藤周作のファンで、よく借りて読ませていただきましたね。遠藤周作先生の飄々とした性格と、自身のキリスト教信仰を土台とした小説は印象的です。エッセイもすごく面白いんですよ。

—The wife of Shiro Sumi, who I used to learn violin, is a fan of Shusaku Endo, and I often borrowed and read it. The easy-going personality of Professor Shusaku Endo and the novel based on his own Christian faith are impressive. The essay is also very interesting.

ドッジボールのボールは取らずにひたすら逃げる役。

5, 録音に向けたメッセージ
　Message for recording

”Tokyo Suite”に関しては、ジャズピアニストが作曲した弦楽四重奏を我々クラシック奏者が演奏するといったい何が起きるのかワクワクします。Johnny氏の耳にもどのように届くのか、Jazzそのものの演奏はできなくても、何か伝わるものがあればと思っています。
“Twilight Is Now”は、昨年若くして急逝されたトランペッターNeil氏からのメッセージを感じています。5人で創り上げるエネルギーを天国に届けたいです。

—Regarding “Tokyo Suite”,
When we classical musicians play a string quartet composed by a jazz pianist, we are excited to see what happens. I would like to know how it reaches Johnny's ears. Even if I can't play Jazz itself, I'd like to have something to convey.
Regarding “Twilight Is Now”, I feels a message from trumpeter Mr.Neil, who passed away suddenly at a young age last year. I want to reach the energy created by five players to heaven.

室内楽はメンバー全員のエネルギーが混ざりあって創られる音楽です。
