Hello everyone.

 

Today, my doctor told me that I should start Opdivo (Nivolumab) treatment. And the first session started.

 

I agreed with my doctor’s suggestion with confidence, thanks to all the people who supported me through this crowdfunding campaign. Thank you again.

 

Before the crowdfunding, I was seriously worried about the medical expenses.

 

I was wondering if I should really spend money on my own medical treatment. It could make it difficult for me to buy clothes and school supplies for my children or even force them to give up their extra-curricular activities. These were all painful thoughts for me.

Now, I can receive the treatment without hesitation. I also feel that it would be for the children's benefit.

 

Another big change in me was that I started to think, “Wishing, praying and believing in something is very important.”

 

All the cancer drugs and surgeries I had experienced were said to have a low success rate. So, every time I have had a surgery, I have had the negative thought, "What if this one fails?" And my doctor himself told me that I would be extremely lucky if I could succeed.

 

I was anxious every day. The pain was so strong that I felt like I was going crazy.

 

However, I received messages from many people saying "I absolutely believe in you," "I hope you succeed," and "Don't worry." I read them every day, and the surgery was somehow over. I finally became calm for now.

 

Before the surgery, I was preoccupied with the thought, "No matter how much you believe, reality is harsh." But now I've come to the conclusion that we might get closer to success, if we all believe in ourselves and take actions.

 

Opdivo treatment, which started today, does not have a very high chance of cure. But I was believing in the success during the drip.

 

During the drip, I read aloud the messages from the crowdfunding supporters. The nurses gave me a strange look, but I was very content. The moment I finished reading everyone's message, the the drip was completed and the bell rang.

 

This medicine was a gift from all of you.

I will definitely make it happen. The situation is still unpredictable, but I will never lose. I will recover and become someone who is able to help someone else.
